PLANNING OBJECTIONS
Below is the stuff that is particularly relevant to anyone fighting a specific wind farm, such as me, and needs to work within the 'guidelines' and 'regulations'

Scroll down to PAN 45 Renewable Energy Technologies - it has been updated
http://www.scotland.gov.uk/Topics/Built-Environment/planning/National-Planning-Policy/themes/renewables

SOME IMPORTANT  NOTES -Get objection letters ready in advance of planning applications
Once an application has been advertised there is a very short window for objection- 28 days
All members of a household, including minors, can object.
All objection letters are considered to be separate objections.
The Highland Council acknowledges both letters and e-mails to home addresses
It is therefore necessary to state both your name and address and the application Reference Number on e-mails as well as letters.

PUBLIC AWARENESS: People need to take action swiftly

July 26th- Help to save Scotland's Hills

The e-petition below raised 800+ signatures.
The petition is now closed.

July 26th 2010 ~ Help to save some of Scotland's hills from the continuous march of wind turbines.
A public "e-petition" is calling on the Scottish Parliament
"to urge the Scottish Government to convene an inquiry to consider the process for consenting onshore and offshore renewable energy generating stations and whether the process achieves an adequate cost/benefit and planning developments/environment balance, particularly for those in rural communities and whether its energy and planning policies compete against local communities priorities for land and landscape conservation, tourism and public recreation."
It was raised by Tessa Packard on behalf of Black Mountain Farms, Faccombe Estates, Horseupcleugh Estate, Burncastle Estate, Cranshaws and Longformacus Community Councils. If you choose to sign you will find it takes very little time. Link
