We firmly believe that we must all take our environmental responsibilities seriously.
  1. There are grave concerns about global warming and the need to reduce carbon emissions
❍ There are varying views about the causes of climate change.
❍ Whatever the causes we must protect our earth and steward it wisely
  2. The need for clean affordable reliable energy is critical
  3. Economic incentives must be matched by the delivery of economic, reliable, consistent power

We support sound scientific solutions towards the goal of a cleaner greener world.
We are against proposals that don’t make good scientific sense.

We are convinced that Wind Power
  1. is not a technically legitimate solution
  2. does not meaningfully reduce CO2 emissions
  3. is not a commercially viable source of energy
  4. is not environmentally responsible.

We look to better energy solutions for our energy needs
There are alternative energy sources that better meet the science/economics/environmental tests

Our Aims in Light of The Above
  1. To call for a halt to Wind Power Development
  2. To have a national moratorium on this issue
  3. To campaign FOR "Better Solutions" for a better world
  4. To encourage the quest for better alternative green solutions
  5. To campaign vigorously against wind farm developments in our own area
  6. To support and work with other groups across Scotland and the rest of the UK
NOTE to 6 above
Responsibility for renewables in Scotland is devolved. There are differences between Scottish targets, legislation and planning procedures and those in England and Wales.
